The mother of Julian Brown, an inventor who turned plastic into gasoline, says he is not missing. Brown disappeared from social media for two weeks. But now his mother says he has gone into hiding.

Brown, 21, gained fame after he invented “Plastoline” – a product he claims turns plastic into gasoline. Brown’s invention shook the fuel industry and there were rumors that his life was in danger.

Brown, who has 1.7 million followers on Instagram, has not been heard from since July 9, when he posted a disturbing video claiming he was “under attack.”

“Something is happening, keep me in your prayers please. SCREEN RECORD THIS. I don’t know,” Brown wrote.

“I’m certainly under attack,” he added. “I can’t go into so much detail.”

In a separate post on July 3, Brown wrote, “A SECRET Helicopter found circled me in the middle of NOWHERE… and it gets even scarier – Pray for me please.”

Users on X (Twitter) and Instagram sounded the alarm after the young inventor went missing. They believe his life is in danger.

However, Brown’s mother Nia Brown told DailyMail.com on Monday that her son is not missing.

“I can confirm Julian is safe but in the best interest of his security I’m not able to provide any more information,” she said.

Atlanta police also confirmed they are not currently looking for Brown or anyone by that name.

“I can confirm that the Atlanta Police Department is not currently investigating any missing persons by that name,” the APD told The U.S. Sun.

Brown said he learned how to weld in high school and his occupation is welding. He turned plastic into gasoline purely by accident.

Serena Williams’ husband Alex Ohanian gave Brown a $100,000 donation.

Brown also created a GoFundMe page to finance his invention.

Following the news of his alleged abduction, the GoFundMe’s balance grew to more than $30,000.
