During Sean Combs’ expedited sentencing hearing on Tuesday, July 8, both parties proposed October 3 for his sentencing.

According to a letter published by Inner City Press, the parties (defense and prosecution) spoke and agreed to the Court’s original sentencing date of October 3, 2025. The defense proposes that the Probation Office provide the parties with a Pre-Sentence Investigation Report (PSR) on or before September 12, 2025.

The letter suggests that Combs will be given time served and probation after a jury convicted him of 2 lesser counts of transporting his own girlfriends across state lines to engage in prostitution (freak-offs). The Mann Act is considered a misdemeanor and sentencing guidelines call for a maximum sentence of 21-26 months per count.

The sentencing date of October 3 means Combs will have served more than a year in jail.

Combs and his attorneys did not appear in court on Tuesday, but they spoke via phone, according to Inner City Press.

Marc Agnifilo: Sean is that you?
Combs: Yes. Where are you?
Agnifilo: In my office.
Court deputy: Is the government on?
AUSA Slavic: Yes.
Deputy: Beyond the letter, anything?
Parties: No.
Deputy: We’ll get back in writing. Adjourned.
