Sean “Puffy” Combs got a standing ovation from his fellow inmates following his acquittal on RICO charges last week.

According to Combs’ attorneys, the 55-year-old music mogul received a hero’s welcome when he returned to the cell block at a Brooklyn federal detention center on July 2.

“They all said: ‘We never get to see anyone who beats the government,'” attorney Marc Agnifilo told The Associated Press over the weekend.

On July 2, a Manhattan jury acquitted Combs of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges (RICO).

The jury convicted Combs of 2 lesser charges of violating The Mann Act for transporting his ex-girlfriends – Cassie Ventura and another woman – to engage in prostitution.

A federal judge rejected Agnifilo’s request for Combs to be released on home confinement on $1 million bond.

Combs will remain in jail until his sentencing hearing in October. He is expected to be sentenced to time served and released with conditions.

Meanwhile, Combs’ ex, Cassie Ventura was hit with a $20 million lawsuit filed by an ex male escort who said she gave him herpes and aborted his child.

Ventura admitted under oath that she booked male escorts and paid them thousands of dollars in cash to engage in prostitution.

However, she was not charged with any federal crimes. The prosecution portrayed her as a victim during the trial. She settled a Nov. 2023 lawsuit with Combs for $20 million.
