Teyana Taylor and Aaron Pierre went Instagram official earlier this year. But fans were skeptical about the authenticity of their relationship.
While bloggers gushed over Tey and Aaron’s apparent romance, fans weren’t convinced that they’re really dating.
One X user wrote of Aaron and Teyana’s relationship: “It’s a pr move to launch him in the states. Black British actors and singers always date black women in order to be accepted to US audience. Black audience is vital.”
And some of you insisted he was already in a committed relationship with a White woman.
Earlier this week, Teyana released a B&W video that shows her and Aaron slow dancing at her Escape Room album and short film release party on August 20 in New York City.
The video shows Teyana bent over in front of Aaron, who struggles to match her rhythmic hip thrusts. It’s as if she’s the teacher and he’s her slow-learning student.
Fans left crumbs in the video comments, and the video was quickly deleted on Instagram.
But nothing is ever deleted from the Internet.
