Sean “Diddy” Combs sent a four page letter Thursday to the judge who presided over his human trafficking and racketeering (RICO) case.

Combs faces a maximum of 11 years in prison when he is sentenced in a Manhattan courtroom today, October 3.

In his letter, Combs apologized for his reckless behavior and begged the judge for leniency.

The Bad Boy Records founder expressed “how sincerely sorry I am for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused”.

“I lost my way. I got lost in my journey. Lost in the drugs and the excess,” the Hip-Hop mogul wrote. “My downfall was rooted in my selfishness.”

Combs, 55, was acquitted of the more serious RICO counts, but convicted on 2 misdemeanor counts of the Mann Act, transportation of prostitutes.

Federal prosecutors asked the judge for an 11-year sentence – 5 1/2 years on each count.

Combs did not testify during his 11-week trial, but he briefly addressed the judge during a hearing last week.

He has been locked up for 13 months in a Brooklyn detention center.

Court observers say the judge has been unusually harsh and unreasonable toward Combs and his legal team, despite the lack of evidence in his trial.
