James Harden revealed his secret son that he kept hidden from NBA fans for years. He introduced 7-year-old Jace Harden in Season 2 of Netflix’s “Starting 5” series.

James kept his personal life under wraps after his split from reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.

So it came as a surprise when James introduced Jace in an episode of the series last week.

Netflix aired all 8 episodes on Thursday, Oct. 16. The show followed James, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Haliburton and Jaylen Brown around the NBA last season.

In the third episode, James revealed he has a son Jace, who was 6 years old at the time of filming.

He talked about being there for his son because his own father wasn’t around for him.

“Jace means the world,” he said from his Houston home (he was traded by the Houston Rockets in 2021). “I think everybody who has children understands the difference of love you have for someone that you created,” he said. “It’s a joy. It’s, you know, your little mini-me. And, for me, just not even being selfish, but just something that you created, something that you wanna mold and be better than you is a different kind of love.”

“You know, James is super private,” said his agent Troy Payne. “People are gonna be like, ‘What?’ They’re gonna be shocked, but yeah, he’s a dad.”

He added, “James has always been here for his son and he’s always been a really good dad to him.”

James also discussed his latest girlfriend, Paije, who also has a son about Jace’s age.

“At 23, 24, I’m like, ‘Man, I don’t want no girl that’s got a kid. Like, you feel me? That’s out.’ I’m 35 now. That mindset changed,” he said.

“Then you find somebody that kind of is on your vibe. Understanding she’s kind of going through the same thing you’re going through in the sense of relationships and all that so it makes sense.”

At the end of the show, James revealed Paije is pregnant and expecting a boy – their first child together.
