Former Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard celebrated the grand opening of her clothing boutique in the Atlanta, Georgia area on October 25.

Henyard launched her flagship retail store, THA New Wave Clothing, in College Park, Georgia, approximately 8 miles south of Atlanta.

Tiffany lost the mayoral race in Dolton by a landslide in February. She was blown out by Jason House, who won over 95% of the vote.

For those who aren’t familiar with Tiffany, she is accused of using Dolton’s coffers as her own ATM machine.

The FBI investigated Henyard, who often referred to herself as “super mayor.” Residents said she spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on first-class trips, events, and an ice skating rink.

She was accused of spending over $1 million in taxpayer funds on a security detail of police officers.

Former Dolton police chief Lewis Lacey, who provided the security detail for Henyard, agreed to plead guilty in a personal bankruptcy fraud case and is allegedly cooperating with a broader investigation, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Lacey is accused of lying under oath in a scheme to hide assets and income from creditors in order to avoid paying a judgment in a lawsuit.

Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was hired to investigate allegations that Henyard misappropriated the village’s budget. But no charges were ever filed against Henyard.

On Tuesday, a company called Business Image Lift emailed Sandrarose.com requesting the removal of an article about Henyard that caused “significant distress and negative consequences in both her personal and professional life. The damage caused by this article has affected her relationships, employment opportunities, and overall well-being.”

The email continued, “Tiffany Henyard is a dedicated public servant who has always prioritized the well-being of her community. As mayor, she worked tirelessly to uplift residents, improve local programs, and advocate for fairness, safety, and progress.”

Business Image Lift said Henyard “has never been arrested, never formally charged with any crime, and was not held in contempt of court. Despite this, the lingering presence of misleading and outdated information online continues to cause her significant personal and professional distress.”

The company claims the allegations against Henyard stem from “racially motivated scrutiny and unwarranted persecution. As a woman of color in public office, she has faced disproportionate criticism and judgment that far exceed the bounds of fairness. Nevertheless, she remains steadfast in her belief in justice and transparency.”
