Gayle King addressed rumors that she eloped and got married to a handsome gentleman without telling anyone.

She addressed the images Friday on “CBS Mornings.”

“Been getting a lot of texts, a lot of messages, stories online that I got engaged,” Gayle said. “Take a look at me with a big ring on my finger. There’s a lucky man — I have no idea who he is.”

Gayle said she’s not married, but she would like to meet the guy in the images – if he exists.

“These [AI-]generated images have been making their way across the internet,” she said. “So I’m here to say exclusively on CBS Mornings, “I’m not married, not even engaged.”

Gayle was married to William Bumpus from 1982 to 1993. They share a daughter, Kirby, and a son, William Bumpus Jr.
