Joyce Jones, the mother of Kandi Burruss, is overjoyed at the news that Kandi filed for divorce from her cheating husband Todd Tucker.
Kandi recently shared a Thanksgiving photo of her family with matriarch Mama Joyce smiling widely.
The ex “RHOA” star explained that Todd is still in good standing with her family and that he wasn’t left out of the photo.
“Before anyone assumes anything,” she wrote, “Todd came earlier to eat with us but he wasn’t there for the pic. He was not left out or anything like that.”
One fan wrote on Instagram: “Todd took the picture lol.”
Mama Joyce couldn’t be more happy that Kandi finally launched Todd after 11 years of marriage.
Mama Joyce had a long-running feud with Todd on Real Housewives of Atlanta. She was combative and had to be physically separated from Todd, his family and associates on the show. Watch video below.
Mama Joyce warned Kandi about Todd for years, but Kandi wanted a loving father for her children. So she refused to put him out after reports of him cheating on her.
Sources say Todd and Kandi lived separately for at least a year before the divorce filing.
Todd still helps out with their 2 children, son Ace, 9, and 6-year-old daughter Blaze.
Todd often shares videos of his daddy duties. In one video, Blaze called her father “Chef Todd” instead of “Chef Daddy.”
Todd seemed hurt that his daughter called him by his first name. But he’s not around to tuck her into bed every night. So she doesn’t know him as “daddy.”
Stopping by the house occasionally to record videos with Blaze and Ace may look cute on social media, but children need a father who is a constant presence in their lives.
