TikTok comedian Marquay Collins died suddenly on November 26. He was 24.

Police found Marquay unresponsive at his home in Columbus, Georgia. He was pronounced dead at his home. His cause of death is still under investigation.

According to TMZ, Marquay suffered head and neck injuries in a car accident after a Tesla rammed the back of his car on November 7.

He complained of a headache, neck and back pain and difficulty breathing before collapsing at home weeks later.

Marquay had over 7 million followers on TikTok, where he posted comedy skits and lifestyle videos under the handle @marquaythegoat.

In a Facebook post, his mother, Sonja, wrote: “My heart is broken. My baby, my last one, my SnuggaBug, my Marquay is no longer here with me. He was the sweetest person; he didn’t have a mean bone in his body. I needed him longer than God allowed me to have him. He spoiled me and his dad, Elzie; he always said because we spoiled him. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.”

In a follow-up post on Tuesday, Sonja said her husband, Elzie, left her and Marquay off of his life insurance policy by “mistake.” She said the family didn’t have enough money to bury Marquay.

“I come asking for a little help,” Sonja said in a video. Sonja explained that she and Marquay were on Elzie’s health insurance at work, but not his life insurance policy.

“He only put hisself on there by mistake,” she said. “I need a little help with the cost of the funeral. So if you could find it in your heart to give anything that you can – anything that you can is going to help. It’s going to be more than what we did have.”
