Charlie Kirk’s widow Erika Kirk brought out rap icon Nicki Minaj as her surprise guest at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest convention in Phoenix on Sunday.
Erika and Nicki walked out hand-in-hand to fireworks, music and loud applause.
Nicki praised President Trump and she called Vice President JD Vance an “assassin.” Then Nicki realized her Freudian Slip. She paused and there was a moment of silence between her and Erika.
Erika laughed and said, “Trust me. There is nothing new under the sun that I have not heard. So you’re fine.”
Nicki lowered her microphone and whispered something to Erika. “Yes we did,” said Erika. “You have to laugh about it truly. I have been called every single thing and you know what? God is so good, you let it roll right off your back. And this is what’s so beautiful about this moment, because if the Internet wants to clip it, who cares?”
Asked by Erika Kirk what her advice to young men is, Nicki Minaj says, “don’t be like [Gavin] Newscum.”
Nicki then refers to President Trump as “our handsome, dashing president.”

“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president,” Nicki said. “I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win, and to do it with your head held high and your integrity intact.”
The rapper praised JD Vance and Trump for not losing “touch of the world” and their ability “to still connect and be real and make us feel proud to be American.”
“Dear young men, you have amazing role models like our handsome, dashing president and you have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president,” Nicki told the crowd.
“For boys – boys be boys,” Nicki said.
“Amen,” said Erika.
Nicki continued, “Be boys. It’s okay. Be boys. It’s nothing wrong with being a boy. How about that? How powerful is that? How profound is that?”
