In her book, “The Untold Story,” Raven-Symoné said Disney “went crazy” and digitally altered her body to make her look thinner in “That’s So Raven.”

She also recalled Disney dropping suggestions to her about losing weight and looking thinner. Raven-Symoné even used an app called Signos that pairs with a glucose monitor to measure her blood glucose level in real time in response to diet and exercise.

As a teenager, Raven-Symoné underwent surgical procedures, including lipo and breast reduction, to lose weight before she was 18.

She said her late father’s criticism motivated her to go under the knife to lose weight as a teenager.

“I was like, ‘Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?'” she said on her podcast in 2023.

Raven likely has the obesity gene that predisposes her to overeat and gain weight.

Oprah Winfrey recently faced criticism for saying the “obesity gene” caused her to overeat and crave food 24/7.

In a recent appearance on “The View”, Oprah said, “All these years, I thought I was overeating. I was standing there with all the food noise… I thought that that was because of me and my fault. Now I understand that if you carry the obesity gene… that is what makes you overeat.”

She continued: “You don’t overeat and become obese. Obesity causes you to overeat.”
