Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy’s son Eric Murphy are expecting their first child. They got married in 2025 after dating for more than 4 years.
On Monday, Jasmin announced their pregnancy in a post on Instagram.
“Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift,” she wrote alongside a B&W photo of Eric down on one knee cradling her baby bump.
In November 2024 the couple shared posts on Instagram of the moment when Eric popped the question.
“God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ????. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!”
In an appearance on Big Boy TV, Martin Lawrence (right) said Eddie Murphy (left) told him to foot the bill for the wedding because Eddie paid for the last six of his kids’ weddings. But Eddie joked that it’s Martin’s turn to pay for a wedding.

Eddie, who is dad to 10 children, shares Eric with ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, while Martin shares Jasmin with his first ex-wife, Patricia Southall.
