2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens and former soccer star Jozy Altidore are divorcing after 4 years of marriage.
The ex couple filed for divorce in Florida, Page Six reports. Sloane announced the end of their marriage in a social media post.
“Jozy and I have decided to end our marriage. With peace, I am navigating this transition with mutual respect and kindly ask for privacy during this time. Thank you for your love, understanding and continued support.”

Sloane, 32, and Jozy, 36, knew each other since they were middle schoolers at Boca Prep in Boca Raton. They announced their engagement in 2019 and tied the knot on January 1, 2022, at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach.

Sloane was ranked as high as world No. 3 in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She was runner-up at the 2018 French Open.
She was making a comeback after being derailed by an injury in 2025. Sloane lost in the first round at the Australian Open in January. She is scheduled to play at the WTA 500 in Merida, Mexico.
When she’s not playing in tennis tournaments, Sloane works as a sports reporter for ESPN and TNT.
