The gold-winning USA women’s ice hockey team has declined President Trump’s invitation to attend tonight’s State of the Union Address in Washington, DC.

Both the men’s and women’s teams won gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy.

For the first time, both the U.S. men’s and women’s teams took home gold medals in the same Olympic Games.

The men’s team defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime to win their first gold medal in ice hockey in 46 years.

Each team has won three gold medals. The USA women’s team previously won gold medals in 2018 and 1998. The men’s ice hockey team previously won gold in 1980 and 1960.

Both men’s and women’s hockey teams were invited by the White House to attend President Trump’s SOTU address tonight. 20 of the 25 men’s hockey stars will be there tonight, but the women declined the invitation due to scheduling conflicts.

The women allegedly declined the invite because Trump called to congratulate the men’s team in Milan. But the president didn’t call the women after they beat Canada 2-1 in overtime.

Trump allegedly told the men’s team, “I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team, you do know that.” He said if they didn’t bring the women’s team, “I do believe I probably would be impeached.”

FBI Director Kash Patel caught heat for celebrating with the men’s hockey team in the locker room in Italy. But he didn’t visit the women’s locker room after their victory.

Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav invited the women to attend “a real celebration” after Trump dissed them.

“If the USA Women’s Hockey team wants a real celebration and invite … I’ll host them in Las Vegas. Do some nice dinners, shows, and good times. I’m sure I can get a hotel and airline to help me out here and celebrate these women for real for real,” Flav posted on X/Twitter.
