U.S. House Rep. Jasmine Crockett threatened to file a lawsuit against Dallas County for voter confusion during the Democratic primary on Tuesday.
State Rep. James Talarico defeated Crockett in the U.S. Senate race on Tuesday. Crockett announced that the election was “rigged” by Republicans.
“We’re about to file a lawsuit to keep the voting polls open,” she said. “I can tell you now that people have been disenfranchised.”
After conceding the race in a phone call to Talarico on Wednesday, Crockett said, “Texas is primed to turn blue and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person. This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track. With the primary behind us, Democrats must rally around our nominees and win.”
Crockett claimed thousands of voters from her home base of Dallas County were turned away from voting polls.
A state judge ruled that polling places should stay open two extra hours because of “mass confusion” caused by new rules put in place by Republicans.
The two-term Congresswoman will not return to Congress next year because she gave up running for reelection in order to run for the U.S. Senate.
As we say goodbye to Jasmine Crockett, never forget the campaign ad she released where Trump just calls her a “low IQ person” for 30 seconds straight.
