U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, of Texas, is doing his part to support the men and women of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Cruz asked the Senate clerk to hold his paychecks until the TSA is fully funded.
In a post on X.com on Tuesday, Cruz wrote: “Due to the Democrat’s Shutdown, I’ve asked the Financial Clerk of the Senate to hold my salary. It’s not right for Members of Congress to be paid if the working men and women of DHS aren’t.”

X.com users praised Senator Cruz for his consideration of the TSA workers.
TSA’s funding is included in the SAVE America Act, which Democrats refuse to approve because “undocumented citizens” won’t be able to vote.
The SAVE America Act requires proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in elections. But Democrats claim the bill will make it harder for Black people to vote because we can’t get IDs or we don’t know what the word “computer” means.

TSA workers have not been paid in weeks amid the ongoing partial government shutdown. At least 400 TSA workers around the country have quit their jobs, while hundreds more refused to show up for work at the nation’s airports.
The chaos has caused massive lines and 4-hour wait times at airports.
President Trump provided some relief on Monday by deploying federal ICE officers to assist TSA workers at airports.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport saw significantly shorter lines by Monday afternoon.
