Jaden Ivey’s wife, Caitlyn, says he’s lying for attention. She addressed Jaden’s accusations that she ghosted him after the Chicago Bulls released the shooting guard on Monday.
In an Instagram Live, Jaden said Caitlyn and his family “betrayed” him and she wouldn’t return his text messages.
“Those who are around me, those who are my family members are betraying me because of what I spoke. The truth. Betraying me. Saying that I’m losing my mind. Saying that I’m crazy. Saying that I don’t know the truth. These are my own family members who love me. My blood,” he said.
“My wife isn’t here, and she’s not even texting me,” he added.
The mom-of-three responded to a follower in her Instagram Stories on Wednesday.

“We were communicating all morning of that day. People say things for attention, do not be deceived,” Caitlyn wrote after the Bulls confirmed Jaden will receive his full $10.1 million salary.
She continued: “If you know me, you know I have never abandoned that man through all the trials. And I still haven’t now. There is obviously a lot more going on, so leave your conspiracies and guesses to yourselves.”

Caitlyn was a volleyball player for Purdue, where she met Jaden, a star player on the Boilermakers’ basketball team.
On the “Spectrum Sports” podcast in January 2025, Jaden, 24, regretted his life of sin. Jaden said he and Caitlyn “fornicated” before they were married and he was addicted to p0rn. He also admitted abusing his wife.
“Before I married my wife, we had went through trials together,” Jaden said. “I dealt with anger, she had to deal with a lot of anger that I had in my heart, and that turned into me somewhat of an abuser. I’m not saying that was it, there was things that I tried to fill in my heart. … I’m so grateful for my wife because she’s been there for me through thick and thin like through every bad moment of my life.”
Jaden was in the final season of a 4-year rookie contract that he signed after the Detroit Pistons drafted him with the No. 5 pick in 2022.
The Bulls acquired him from the Pistons in February ahead of this season’s trade deadline.
