President Donald Trump re-posted an AI-generated image of Jesus hugging him with the caption: “The Radical Left Lunatics might not like this, but I think it is quite nice!!! President DJT.”
Trump re-posted the image days after public backlash against another AI image he posted that portrayed him as Jesus Christ healing the sick.
On Sunday, Trump posted an AI image on his Truth Social app that showed him wearing flowing robes and healing a sick man with light beams coming out of his hands.
The AI image sparked outrage and condemnation across all social media platforms.
“This is gross blasphemy,” wrote Brilyn Hollyhand, the former chair of the Republican National Committee’s Youth Advisory Council. “Faith is not a prop. You don’t need to portray yourself as a savior when your record should speak for itself.”
One X.com user wrote: “At least he was humble enough to let Jesus hug him.”
A Reddit user wrote: “Who’s that doctor hugging him?”
A third person commented: “Trump would have Jesus deported.”
