Director Marco Brambilla explains how he came up with the concept for Kanye West’s overly ambitious music video “Power” which premieres tonight at 9 PM on MTV.
“Power” merges digitized animation, paranormal visual effects, soft porn and other nonsensical scenes of orgasmic milieu that you would expect to find in the crevices of Kanye’s disturbed mind.
Is there anything that Kanye can conceive that shocks us anymore?
Eminem’s music video for “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, will also premiere tonight on MTV.
Here’s what Eminem had to say on working with Rihanna and the video director Joseph Khan:
“Joseph and I worked pretty closely together to make sure we got this right. Trying to make this tough subject work visually is a challenge. It was great to have Rihanna, Megan and Dominic on board for this….they really brought it and made this video super-powerful.”
The video premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT. Will you be watching?

I found over 20 images of straight up porn in Kanye’s video. I couldn’t even post the more racier images. I guess MTV approved it because the couples engaging in acts of porn were all considered safe?

I think Ciara’s lyrics also caused her to be banned. Just hearing the song on the radio, you can catch the innuendo, but to SEE the vid, forces you to know what she’s talking about.
Oh, and Ciara ain’t nearly as relevant as Yeezy, esp. to YT people.

Yeah the song is about mutual domestic abuse but it doesn’t really address the woman other than her volitile temper. He (the man) beats the woman and feels remorse for it, they get over it. He beats her again and again and only feels any remorse when it gets to the point that it seems she will leave. He talks the girl back into coming back and ends the song saying that if she tries to leave again, he’ll kill her. great song right? Am I wrong?
