Hopes that Bobby Shmurda would be released on bail were crushed by a judge today. The one-hit-wonder’s bail request was denied in a courtroom on Thursday.
Shmurda’s family reportedly came up with the $2 million cash requirement to post bond. Rumors swirled on social media that Bobby was already released on bond Wednesday.
But Bobby and his attorneys went before a judge Thursday morning with his bond request. The hearing was supposed to be a small formality — all the judge had to do was sign off on the $2 million bail request and Bobby would be a free man.
But after the judge reviewed a report that detailed where Bobby’s family — who aren’t millionaires — got the $2 million from, the bond was denied.
It was a crushing blow to Bobby’s network of supporters.
Bobby will likely remain locked up until he accepts a plea deal that requires him to snitch on his gang banging brethren.
Shmurda has another court hearing next month.
