First Lady Michelle Obama quietly deleted 3 years of tweets from her Twitter.com timeline over the last 48 hours. Gone are any tweets that mentioned Hillary Clinton by name.
Mrs. Obama apparently scrubbed her timeline of Clinton mentions amid five separate FBI probes of Mrs. Clinton and everyone in her inner circle dating back to the Bill Clinton White House days.
The housecleaning led to rampant speculation that Mrs. Obama is distancing herself from the scandal-plagued Clintons after enthusiastically campaigning for Hillary Clinton for months.
On Friday, FBI Director James Comey dropped a bombshell announcement that he was reopening the investigation into Clinton’s private email server.
Comey’s unprecedented announcement — occurring less than 2 weeks before the presidential election — sparked speculation that the feds have proof that Clinton and her staff broke multiple federal laws.
Some of the laws Clinton and her staff are alleged to have broken include influence-peddling, destruction of evidence, obstruction of justice, insider trading, and other financial crimes.
The 2nd phase of the investigation centers around 650,000 emails found in a folder titled “Life Insurance” on Clinton aide Huma Abedin’s personal laptop computer.
Abedin, 40, shared the laptop with her pervy husband Anthony Weiner, who is the subject of a separate probe into his inappropriate relationship with an underage girl.
Anthony Weiner is said to be cooperating fully with the federal investigation into Clinton’s email server.
He reportedly turned over Abedin’s laptop to the NY FBI office voluntarily, which means no warrant was necessary to read the emails.
In addition to the new emails found on the laptop, investigators are also scouring through thousands of emails leaked by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and Megauploads founder Kim Dotcom.
The emails show Clinton and her staff broke strict laws regarding the handling of classified documents which can only be read by government employees or contract workers with TOP SECRET clearances.
Several emails conflict with President Obama’s claim that he had no knowledge of Clinton’s email server until he heard about it on the news.
One WikiLeaks email shows Obama used his own personal email to contact Clinton at her @clintonemail.com address rather than her official @state.gov email address.
Just last month, Obama bragged that his administration had never experienced a major scandal. This could explain why Mrs. Obama is suddenly distancing herself from Clinton.
It also explains why Obama says — through his press spokesman on Monday — that he did not believe Comey was attempting to influence the election. Obama’s statement directly conflicts with accusations made by Clinton toward Comey on Friday.
Clinton’s poll numbers tanked after the news broke on Friday. Donald Trump is now leading in a majority of national polls.
