2 Secret Service agents have been relieved of duty pending an investigation into their inappropriate behavior with one of President Donald Trump’s grandsons.
The agents were assigned to protect 8-year-old Donald “Donnie” Trump III, the son of Donald Trump, Jr. and his wife Vanessa.
The agents were driving the young lad from the Trump estate in Westchester County, New York, to Manhattan last weekend,
The boy was asleep in the backseat, when the two men stopped the car and began taking “selfies” with the sleeping child.
Trump III reportedly woke up and “freaked out”.
Upon arriving in Manhattan, Trump III told his mother, Vanessa Trump, who alerted her husband, Donald Trump, Jr.
According to published reports, the two agents were ordered to report to the Secret Service Office of Professional Responsibility in Washington, DC.
The Secret Service confirmed that an investigation was underway to determine if the agents “abandoned their post” by parking the car in a secluded area to photograph the boy.
A spokesman for the Secret Service clarified that the photographs were “selfies,” and he begged individuals to refrain from jumping “to conclusions that may grossly mischaracterize the matter.”
There are rumors that the two men took photos of the sleeping child that a jury in a court of law might not categorize as “selfies”.
The Secret Service came under scrutiny during the Obama presidency, after a series of high profile security breaches at the White House put the Obama family in danger.
