Rapper T.I. tells TMZ he will keep in touch with Joshua, the troubled young man who contemplated taking his life yesterday.
“It summoned my heart, my spirit. I said to myself … I gotta help,” said T.I., who arrived on the scene shortly after hearing about the suicide attempt on V-103.
The cops told the jumper that T.I. wanted to talk to him … but the jumper didn’t believe it at first, so “to assure him that it was really me they recorded a video message on the cop’s cell phone and took it up to him …15 minutes later the guy came down peacefully.”
T.I. says he told the man, “I want to speak to you, and that it’s not that bad. I’m willing to do whatever it is to help the situation, but I can’t do that unless you help me help you.”
Once the man agreed to move from the ledge to the lobby, T.I. says he told the man, “No matter how bad things get they get better … if you unplug the game then you don’t get extra men … when it gets bad, you feel bad, but it can get better.”
T.I. insists he wants to stay in touch with the man — saying, “I’ll do anything I can to help things get better.”

An industry exec who asked to remain anonymous, said yesterday’s unfortunate incident was “right on time” for T.I. who has a probation revocation hearing in the morning.
“That dude getting up there like he wanted to jump was exactly what [T.I.] needed,” said the exec. “That was right on time.”

We were told by a source that TI allegedly showed up to the scene with his publicity team already with him.
The source went on to say that the would-be suicide jumper happened to be on the roof of the V103 radio station building – a building that is not accessible unless somone from the V103 office calls down to give you access to come up.
this would be one hell of a scandal because it would have to carry into the police department as well. and seeing his track record with the police i dont see this being that elaborate of a hoax. and high as the part is where the boy was you would have a hard time trying to pay anyway to go up there let alone play like you gonna jump. ill chalk it up to convenient timing but i wouldnt say it was fake especially since the judge has the say so anyway.

Hello all. I so agree with @ Man & Str8cpt anybody with common sense cam save TI is trying to save face. He done had chance the average person hasn’t! I have a friend that done 10yrs on the FEDS for two guns & a small about of drugs no prior record but TI got several felons & does a year he done had all the chance he need lock his butt up make him do some real time then maybe he will learn his lesson. Sidenote: I am not a T.I. fan but I respect him for helping out that young man.
Its not true that “usually people who want to commit suicide do it” Have any of you heard of the term suicidal. Sometimes you contemplate or attempt suicide. It doens’t mean the person is any less troubled.
I don’t think this will have anything to do with TI’s sentencing even though I think it was a good deed on his part.

Since my mother works with the mentally ill, I think I am more compassionate and understanding of situations like this. No sane person would walk on the ledge of a 22-story building for money and to give T.I. some good publicity. SMH at some people’s insensitivity.

I’m late but Colony Square is NOT “V-103’S” building. This building has several stores, restaurants, clubs, television and radio stations, lawyer offices, business offices, etc. in it. You DO NOT have to have special access to get in it. Lies spread like a wildfire on the net. Jesus help em.

After hearing the comments by Joshua’s mom on V-103 yesterday, I can sort of understand his plight! This woman (I won’t say mom, cause she certainly didn’t sound like one)said, it was an embarrassment to her! WTlivin’H?! She also said, “they kept calling me on my job, and I’m tryin’ to keep my job, y’all know how this economy is.” Again, WTlivin’H?! If my son were on a building about to jump to he!! with anything else, I’m coming to his rescue! I pray this young man gets the help he needs, blessings to TIP.
