Tyrese Gibson has been caught in a boldface lie. Super couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith deny loaning or gifting the troubled actor $5 million to keep him “afloat”.
Tyrese, 38, took to Instagram last week to say the Hollywood Power couple gave him $5 million to cover his legal fees. He also claimed Jada told him to get off social media and stay off.
“When we show UP for each other, there’s nothing that can’t be done! Jada Pinkett-Smith and my brother Will Smith just sent us 5 million to help keep us afloat. You guys asked to get off and stay off the internet now that my daughter’s legal fees will be paid!”
The post has since been deleted.
But a close family source tells gossip webloid TMZ that the couple did not give Tyrese any money, but they are concerned about his mental health.
If you recall, the judge presiding over Tyrese’s child custody hearing cleared the courtroom so Tyrese’s doctor could explain his mental disorder in private.
The singer’s ex-wife Norma Gibson has asked the judge to grant a permanent restraining order against Tyrese after he beat their 10-year-old daughter, Shayla, so hard she couldn’t sit.
But child protective services dropped the agency’s investigation into the child abuse case.
The child custody hearing is ongoing.
