The FBI is objecting to the release of the memo that outlines surveillance abuses by rogue FBI agents intent on impeaching President Trump.
In a last ditch effort to discredit the FBI document, Rep. Adam Schiff, Democrat-Calif., wrote that the letter was not “the same document” his committee approved.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Schiff accused Chairman Devin Nunes of making “material changes to the memo he sent to White House — changes not approved by the Committee.”
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is calling for Devin Nunes to be removed as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the FBI asserted they had “grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.”
But a source familiar with the memo told Fox News the edits included some grammar and clarity fixes, redacted classified information, as well as an edit done at the request of the FBI and another at the request of committee Democrats.
The White House is expected to release the damaging FBI memo on Friday.
