A Texas boy says he was kidnapped by 5 white teenagers and taken to a vacant house, where he was assaulted and robbed of his clothes and cell phone.
Zavion Parker told Houston police the teens assaulted him in a vacant house, and sent messages to his mother threatening his life, according to a police report obtained by ABC13 News.
The eighth grader, who lives with his mother in East Houston, told police he fled his kidnappers after they snatched him when he stepped off a school bus on Monday.
The boy said the teenagers forced him into a 4-door vehicle decorated with flames on the side. The teenagers allegedly drove him to the abandoned house, where they punched him and stole his jacket, shoes, cell phone and keys.
Parker said the five teenagers were led by a heavyset white man with a tattoo on his arm that read, “I hate black people.”
His mother, Michelle Lee, called police after Parker failed to return home from school. She said she received text messages from his phone number that threatened to “kill him,” according to ABC13.
Lee showed one of the messages to an ABC13 reporter, which read, “We’re going to hang him. You’re going to find him in the morning.”
Parker said he fled the home when the teens and the men went into another room to load a gun.
A witness, Camecia Carmouche, spotted Parker running barefoot down the street. She told ABC13 that she pulled over and immediately called police.
Carmouche said she saw scratches on Parker’s face and he seemed to be in distress.
Parker’s mother believes her son’s kidnapping was racially motivated.
