Rihanna and Cardi B took to social media over the weekend to speak on the senseless murder of a 15-year-old Bronx boy who was stabbed to death by a violent street gang on Wednesday.
Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz was dragged from a bodega and stabbed repeatedly by five members of the notorious Trinitarios street gang.
All 5 gang members are in police custody. 4 were arrested in the Paterson area of The Bronx, while the 5th was apprehended in the Dominican Republic.
Kevin Alvarez, 19, is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, and gang assault.
Guzman-Feliz’s savage murder was a case of mistaken identity. The leader of the gang apologized to his mother.
Surveillance video shows the 5 attackers dragging Guzman-Feliz from the bodega onto the sidewalk where he was punched, kicked and stabbed with knives and at least one machete.
The thugs left Guzman-Feliz to die, but he struggled to his feet and staggered away as blood poured from a gaping wound in his neck.
Hysterical family members and friends surrounded the dying teen on the sidewalk. “Keep your eyes open! Junior, look at me! Keep your eyes open!” one man yelled.
Guzman-Feliz was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Rihanna took to Instagram.com on Sunday as the video footage of the brutal attack flooded the Internet.
“can’t stop thinking about this poor baby boy, and how his family must feel right now! I’m sincerely praying for your healing and #justiceforjunior”.
Cardi B, a Bronx native, posted a video clip of Guzman-Feliz’s mother condemning her son’s murderers in Spanish.
“Shheeeshhh this made me teared…,” the rapper wrote.
Cardi went on to share a message in Spanish for the boy’s family, acknowledging the tragedy as a mother’s worst “nightmare” and hoping she finds “peace” soon.
The 25-year-old rapper then urged her followers to donate to a GoFundMe page for the young boy’s funeral expenses.
“There’s a gofundme account for Junior make sure ya check it out!”
