Ex-ESPN reporter Jemele Hill is engaged to boyfriend Ian Wallace. Hill announced her engagement on Instagram.com on Thursday.
She wrote:
“I’ve called this my year of transition. I left a job, started a new job, moved to a new city and now … I’m engaged to the love of my life. I’m overjoyed and immensely blessed.”
In one photo, Wallace drops to one knee to pop the question. Another photo shows Hill getting emotional, while a third photo shows the modest ring he gave her.
Hill, 43, and Wallace began dating in 2016.
She also updated her Twitter followers, writing, “So, uh, some personal news to share … I’m engaged.” See the beautiful ring”.
Hill is coy about her 2 year relationship with Wallace, only referring to him on social media as “Ole Boy.”
Hill was wise to keep Wallace’s identity a secret, considering the current dating atmosphere.
She still has not revealed his real name, but The Grio blog identified him as Ian Wallace.
Hill had a rough 2018. She was attacked by President Donald Trump on Twitter.com and she was suspended then demoted to ESPN’s digital space, UNDEFEATED, after she urged her followers to boycott Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ advertisers.
She reportedly received $6 million in a compensation package from ESPN following her termination.
