Will Packer’s upcoming movie Little has one major flaw. The movie casts child actress Marsai Martin as a feisty 13-year-old with an eye for older men.
The comedy film stars Regina Hall as Jordan Sanders, a wealthy tech executive on the verge of a nervous breakdown who wakes up in the body of a 13-year-old girl (Martin).
Issa Rae plays April, young Jordan’s personal assistant who doubles as young Jordan’s comedic foil.
The trailer, which dropped Wednesday, is being compared to R. Kelly’s Lifetime docu-series Surviving R. Kelly due to the inappropriate adult situations and sexual innuendoes involving a minor child.
In one scene that is uncomfortable to watch, Martin flirts with her male teacher. “Are you feeling what I’m feeling?” she asks him. The scene is just as creepy as you might imagine if your 13-year-old daughter came on to her male teacher in front of you. Watching that scene in a crowded theater won’t diminish the pedo vibes.
In another eyebrow-raising scene, a male stripper sheds his clothing for April and young Jordan, who is up past her bedtime.
Martin, who pitched the concept for the movie, becomes one of the youngest producers ever at age 13. Strangers Things‘ star Millie Bobby Brown is also a Hollywood producer at age 13.
Little opens in theaters on April 12.
