Antonia “Toya” Carter celebrated the series premiere of her reality TV show ‘Toya: A Family Affair’ at a viewing party at Straits Restaurant in midtown on Tuesday night (April 12).
According to the Nielsen Company, the series premiere of “Toya: A Family Affair” on BET was viewed by 1.5 million viewers among 1.1 million households!
That’s good enough to make Toya’s first solo venture without her friend Tiny, BET’s #1 series premiere to date for this season.
Speaking of Tiny, sources within her camp tell me that Tiny was not asked to return this season to BET’s #1 hit series ‘Tiny & Toya.’ Rumor had it that Tiny’s husband, rapper T.I., forbid her from returning to the show. “Not true,” said my source. “They didn’t ask her to come back… I don’t know why they didn’t ask her. Tiny & Toya was their number one show.”

I actually like the show. SO far Walter is by far my favorite. Just like Teeny that nicca deserve his own 1/2 hour. I can relate on so many levels to all that was going on in the show.

I think THAT and the teeny piece of a vest really gets my azz EVERY time…but the fact that we all now know that nukka’s head is TRAGICALLY shaped…makes that circulation cut-off stocking cap funny as shyt! Know good and dayum well he had an indention in his forehead when he took it off.

Melanie during S4 was an epic fail. They need to revisit S1-3 Melanie. I know she’s supposedly “evolved,” but into what? She didn’t even look the same. Don’t EEEven get me started on the abortion storyline. I think they were trying to leave us with a “Who Shot J.R. moment,” but it fell flat! I thought they would come better than that.

Yeah, girl Melanie was a hot mess during S2 and 3. Even Tia said that Melanie was a crying mess. After Derwin cheated on her with Drew Sidora at the end of S1, she was never the same.
Memphitz is hot (thought so when I first saw him on BET hosting a show real late at night) and Toya is pretty; they are a good looking couple. They have a pretty nice family (there was another brother I never saw before) despite all the issues they’ve gone through. Reginae is growing up cute and I love her curly hair she had in the first episode.
