‘Jersey Shore’ cast member Snooki finally confirms she is pregnant. The portly reality TV star graces the cover of the March 16 issue of US Weekly.
After weeks of rumors, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi confirms exclusively in the new Us Weekly that she is 15 weeks pregnant — and engaged to her beau of one and a half years Jionni LaValle. We think the baby’s father is Lavelle, but it really could be anybody’s.
Snooki says she got the news that she was pregnant following a drunken binge on New Year’s day. She had gone to the doctor because of what she thought was a lingering hangover.
The new issue of US Weekly hits newsstands Friday. It will be interesting to see how many copies of the magazine sells.

According to a family insider, Antwaun regrets giving up on Paula and their two children and while Paula is very hurt by what he did to their family, she’s not exactly staying away from him either.

Pink slime — that ammonia-treated meat in a bright Pepto-bismol shade — may have been rejected by fast food joints like McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Burger King, but is being brought in by the tons for the nation’s school lunch program.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture is purchasing 7 million pounds of the “slime” for school lunches, The Daily reports. Officially termed “Lean Beef Trimmings,” the product is a ground-up combination of beef scraps, cow connective tissues and other beef trimmings that are treated with ammonium hydroxide to kill pathogens like salmonella and E. coli. It’s then blended into traditional meat products like ground beef and hamburger patties.
“We originally called it soylent pink,” microbiologist Carl Custer, who worked at the Food Safety Inspection Service for 35 years, told The Daily. “We looked at the product and we objected to it because it used connective tissues instead of muscle. It was simply not nutritionally equivalent [to ground beef]. My main objection was that it was not meat.”
Custer and microbiologist Gerald Zernstein concluded in a study that the trimmings are a “high risk product,” but Zernstein tells The Daily that “scientists in D.C. were pressured to approve this stuff with minimal safety approval” under President George H.W. Bush’s administration. The USDA asserts that its ground beef purchases “meet the highest standard for food safety.”
Controversy surrounding “pink slime” stems from various safety concerns, particularly dangers associated with ammonium hydroxide, which can both be harmful to eat and has potential to turn into ammonium nitrate — a common component in homemade bombs, according to MSNBC. It’s also used in household cleaners and fertilizers.
In 2009, The New York Times reported that despite the added ammonia, tests of Lean Beef Trimmings of schools across the country revealed dozens of instances of E. coli and salmonella pathogens.
Between 2005 and 2009, E. coli was found three times and salmonella 48 times, according to the Times, including two contaminated batches of 27,000 pounds of meat.
A public outcry against the “slime” is led perhaps most prominently by celebrity chef Jamie Oliver,
who had also successfully waged war against flavored milk in Los Angeles schools and continues a crusade for healthier school lunches.
News of the USDA’s plan to bring 7 million pounds of “pink slime” to school cafeterias nationwide comes just weeks after the government announced new guidelines to ensure students are given healthier options for school meals. The new standards call for more whole grains and produce as well as less sodium and fat in school meals. While the measures mark a step forward from previous years, they still compromise amid push-back from Congress to keep pizza and french fries on the menu — counting both the tomato paste on pizza and the potatoes that make fries as vegetables.
Still, some schools — like several in California — have taken the matter into their own hands, and have found ways to profit from those efforts. Umpteen school districts have taken part in a decade-long initiative, supported by a philanthropic organization, that provides schools with equipments and chefs who teach cafeteria workers to cook from scratch and produce fresh meals.
A recent report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that more than a third of high school students were eating vegetables less than once a day — “considerably below” recommended levels of intake for a healthy lifestyle that supports weight management and could reduce risks for chronic diseases and some cancers.

I have a very HIGH arch so my feet experience shock very easily…and for my height the average shoe size is 10 and up, but my feet are little for my height…I think that it hurts me more in the long run because I have to be properly balanced, and Payless ain’t where it’s at!

I keep hearing about that book and I need to download it from Amazon. After speaking with a nutritionist, I’ve come to realize the stuff that they are putting in the food is what is making kids fat, it’s what giving people cancer and millions other diseases. This is all to help pharmaceutical companies make more money. For every one disease you have, they have a pill that will give you 10 more diseases. The pharmaceutical companies make money off of death. This is the reason they refuse to find a cure for HIV and cancer….there is just too much money to be made in diseases.

I wasn’t the most health conscience person, because, coming up, no one was thinking of the detriment that we were putting in our bodies. My brothers always told me that shat and I was like, we’ve been eating it all our lives and we are fine, but in actuality, we aren’t. I’m so health conscience now that no one wants to hang out with me.
I don’t eat at certain places, I don’t buy food unless it’s organic and they say they can’t afford to be shopping or going to restaurants with me cause that shat is expensive. I tell them what the nutritionist told me, either you pay more for the food now, or you pay even more for your health later.
My feet went from size 8 to 9 after pregnancy and I’m 5’5.. people can’t tell when they look at my feet though.

I’ve thought about being Vegan…..I’ve cut out most meat from my diet other than fish and chicken. I want to slowly wean myself off of the chicken. Fish has a lot of mercury, but I feel so alone only eating veggies….How did you do it? I am also going to start going more things at my home other than the fruit trees that I currently have. My bro’s entire backyard is nothing but fruits and veggies (he lives in McDonough, GA)….he ships veggies to me most times. He only eats veggies, rice and fish. I’m trying to grow up and be him.

With the pork I een off it for 16 yrs, and with beef it’s only been 6 month or so, I do chicken for this man that lives in barnesville GA, he dont feed his chic any hormones pills or anything, he dont sell to the public, cause he dont have a license anyway
but i go and has my good ole chicken ready, fish only certian kinds, and no scavenger critters like lobster, shrimps etc. but it works fine I dont miss it, after I feel how my body feels like it can breath

There’s a doctor in the area I live and he owns a farm, well on Saturdays he sells his produce downtown and its all organic. Someone told me about him last week and I said that I would be visiting his spot on Saturday.
I don’t have random foods (chips, snacks, etc.) laying around my house any more. My sis came by a couple weeks ago and she was like

@ Candi – I have NEVER seen those chips before, but I’mma get you hip on Grippos! Especially the barbecue & salt & vinegar brands. I have friends that live in Ashtabula, Ohio (waaaay up north) and they dont’ have carry it up their. They come all th way to Columbus to buy them by the box full.

That’s true because before I started my healthy journey, just walking up one flight of steps had me winded and I wasn’t fat ( I can only imagine how fatties feel when they actually go up that flight…ugh). Now, I am in bootcamp running, climbing ropes, tug-a-war, etc. like I don’t have any sense. I wish I knew a butcher in GA. I should ask my bro (his overly popular azz prolly knows one).
The nutritionist also told me, buy a whole chicken from your local grocery store and buy one from a place like Whole Foods or Fresh Market….Cook it and take the wish bone and break it and look at the difference. The regular chicken’s wishbone will be rubbery, etc. and the organic one will break. He was like what do you think that is doing to your body.
I challenge you guys to do the same.
I should eat healthier but I don’t. I enjoy food; it is about the only thing I indulge in. I don’t drink, smoke, etc. I will not live without my sugar and salt too. Or my McDonalds fries. Sht.

There’s a doctor in the area I live and he owns a farm, well on Saturdays he sells his produce downtown and its all organic. Someone told me about him last week and I said that I would be visiting his spot on Saturday.
I don’t have random foods (chips, snacks, etc.) laying around my house any more. My sis came by a couple weeks ago and she was like I am so use to coming in town and your fridge being packed with food. I was like I told you, I don’t do that shat anymore. I keep it simple and healthy. So, she was like she’s the only sibling who is eating crap. I told her to get with it.

I AM FORTUNATE TO HAVE ANOTHER STORE HERE IN LA BESIDES WHOLE FOODS WHO SELL NATURAL PRIDUCTS AT REASONABLE PRICES. WAY BEFORE WHOLEFOODS. SO I CAN GET TO SOME THINGS AND NOT BREAK MY POCKETS.
WE OWN LAND IN MS. I TOLD MY SLOTHFUL ARSE PEOPLE THEY NEED TO BRING OUR FARM BACK LIKE IT WAS. WE NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR WHAT IS COMING.
ALL I KNOW IS, WHATEVER IS GOING COME, I AM GOING TO BE FULL ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT!!! I REFUSE TO BE HUNGRY!!!!

Sis! Them bishes is DANGEROUS! One of my co-workers is from Columbus, and she brought a box in here and EEWWEE! The BBQ ones had me at hello.
But I still can’t and won’t get past my addiction to Better Made Hots or BBQ chips (MI)!! Those bishes are the bomb too. I have to close my eyes walking past the chip aisle sometimes.
