Yup. First the ticket price was $100 then it went up to $125 per person. It was disappointing. I flat out refused to do it at that price. Then they said they would bring the price down to $75 but my readers wouldn’t be served any food or drinks in the suite. That’s when I knew they weren’t serious.
Then my biggest sponsor offered to BUY the entire suite so my readers could attend the games for free! Once the Hawks heard that, suddenly, the price for the suite went up again. Then they said my sponsor couldn’t bring his liquor into the arena and he couldn’t provide my guests with free liquor. They said his sponsor (Hennessy) had to buy the liquor from the Hawks vendor.
So in other words, the Hawks wanted Hennessy to buy THEIR OWN liquor from a vendor!
It was a mess. I learned quickly about big business and how they try to dog out black businesses.
