A South Carolina woman faces attempted murder charges after she allegedly shot at her ex and his new boyfriend during a drive-by.
Renee Lavonne Simon, 53, was arrested Sunday night after a man reported she took a shot at him and his boyfriend as they arrived home on Lincoln Drive.
No one was hurt in the shooting. Two spent shell casings were recovered outside the home.
The man told police Simon was angry at him for moving his new boyfriend in with him during the coronavirus lockdown. He said she became irate when she learned his new partner was a man.
Police said the victims showed them threatening text messages and videos Simon sent prior to the shooting.
Simon was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of pointing/presenting a firearm, and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
She is being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center on a $38,000 bond.
