NFL player Kyle Queiro apologized for publicly questioning singer Jill Scott‘s voluptuous appeal. It all started when Kyle took to Twitter on Friday, and asked: “People are attracted to JILL SCOTT!?”
Kyle followed up with: “& by no means is she ugly. But y’all really sexually aroused by her huh?”
“So it’s an energy thing. Got it.”
The 29-year-old linebacker, who last played for the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Dragons of the XFL League, was dragged on Twitter for 2 straight days.
Jill’s fans called Kyle out for fat-shaming the 48-year-old R&B singer. They said since he took the time to question Jill’s attractive qualities, that must mean he was checking for her.
Kyle managed to accomplish 2 things: He got Jill Scott’s attention and he earned his 15 minutes of shame on Black Twitter.
He later apologized for his insensitive tweets.
To @missjillscott , I would like to apologize. pic.twitter.com/ies6cczV3S

What does the disrespect have to do with Breonna Taylor? Why is he conflating the two? I still dont believe him. Multiple tweets. He made sure we knew how he felt.

You should never question someone’s physical appearance in a public forum & you set yourself up for criticism of your physical abilities as a football player. This is a nice, well thought out apology letter. Now, I’m going to go mind my business & you mind yours too. All love. ??
