Xzibit is back on the market. The rapper’s wife Krista Joiner filed for divorce after 20 years of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Krista has filed a divorce petition to end her marriage to Xzibit, rap name Alvin Joiner, in Los Angeles Superior Court.
It isn’t clear if Krista is asking the rapper for spousal or child support. It’s unknown if the couple has a prenup.
Xzibit, 46, met Krista back in 2001. The couple share a child, Gatlyn. Sadly, the couple’s son, Xavier was born prematurely and died eleven days after he was born. Xzibit has another son, Tremaine Joiner, from another relationship.
In addition to his rap recording career, Xzibit hosted and produced MTV’s “Pimp My Ride” for six seasons from 2004 to 2007.
The popular reality show spawned several international spin-offs, including Pimp My Ride UK, Pimp My Ride International (in central Europe), and other adaptations in Brazil, Indonesia and the Baltic countries.
The rapper has yet to file his response to the divorce application.
