A federal judge ordered the release of portions of a Fulton County special grand jury report on their investigation into former President Donald Trump.
The special grand jury was requested by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in her search for evidence that Trump and his allies attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
The special grand jury recommended that Willis seek indictments against “witnesses” they believe committed perjury by lying to the grand jury.
The report, obtained by AJC.com, didn’t mention who lied during the investigation.
The heavily redacted report was ordered released Thursday by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney, who is overseeing the grand jury’s work on behalf of Willis.
The documents note that “the grand jury received evidence from or involving 75 witnesses during the course of this investigation.” Some of the witnesses — who testified against their will — are believed to have lied in their testimony.
Witnesses include Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (pictured) and top-level Trump associates like former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, and attorneys John Eastman and Jenna Ellis.
Gov. Kemp testified for about three hours in November 2022.
The documents also found that “no widespread fraud took place in the Georgia 2020 presidential election that could result in overturning that election.”
Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington reacted to the news by tweeting “LOL.”
