Pasadena police suspected an inside job when diamond jewelry was stolen from Colorado players at the Rose Bowl on Oct. 28.
On Monday, Pasadena police confirmed the thefts were committed by high school recruits who were on an official visit to UCLA that weekend.
As guests of UCLA, the students had access to both locker rooms. Thanks to social media posts, they were aware that Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders (pictured top) and some of the players were dripping in diamonds.
Shedeur is the only NCAA player who drives a $350,000 Rolls Royce.
The names of the recruits have not been released, but according to On3, the players attend Beaumont High School in Riverside County.
The stolen jewelry was returned and no charges were filed against the students.

Sanders was furious when his players returned to the Locker room and discovered their jewelry missing.
Coach Prime called on the NCAA to investigate the crime and for the Rose Bowl to reimburse the Colorado players.
“I would expect the NCAA to do something about that. This is the Rose Bowl,” he said after the game.
However, the suspects were identified within days of the crime and the stolen items were returned.
Neither UCLA nor the Rose Bowl have responded to requests for comment by Sports Illustrated.
