Beyonce wore a Louis Vuitton studded leather skirt set and cowboy hat to the 2024 Grammy Awards at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday.
She didn’t win Album of the Year, but her fans say her cowgirl outfit won their hearts.
The custom studded leather Louis Vuitton Damier skirt and jacket were designed by Pharrell Williams as part of his Fall 2024-2025 Louis Vuitton western-theme collection.
Pharrell created similar looks for Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour.
Beyonce shared a table with husband Jay Z, their daughter Blue Ivy, and singer Dua Lipa. Jay Z received the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award.
Beyonce skipped the red carpet – as she usually does. But she posed for photos with celebrities such as Victoria Monet (left), Dua Lipa, Grammys host Trevor Noah, and Olivia Rodrigo.
Jay Z shocked the audience by calling out the Recording Academy for never awarding Beyonce Album of the Year.
“We love y’all, we want y’all to get it right. At least get it close to right,” Jay Z told the members of The Recording Academy, which presents the GRAMMY Awards annually.
“And, obviously, it’s subjective,” he said, before telling the audience “Y’all don’t gotta clap at everything.”
He continued: “Obviously it’s subjective because, you know, it’s music and it’s opinion-based… I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work.”
“Think about that,” he continued. “The most GRAMMYs, but never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.
“Some of you don’t belong in the category,” Jay Z said.
Some audience members viewed Jay Z’s comment as a dig at Taylor Swift. The pop singer made history with her fourth Album of the Year award for Midnights.
