Everybody’s talking about this new video spoof by comedian Chris Rock called “Crackers” which has the potential to create quite a stir once folks realize that he’s not singing about thin, crispy wafers.
The song is a takeoff on Outkast’s mega hit “Hey Ya” — and we think we know why he did it.
Peep the tweet below by Tichina Arnold who played the young Chris’ mother on the popular show ‘Everybody Hates Chris’.
Did you know that the show was canceled? I had no idea. So maybe this is why Chris made the video as a subliminal diss to the network for canceling the show unexpectedly.
On the other hand, maybe Tichina Arnold and Terry Crews got the big head from all the positive press and great ratings and decided they were worth decidedly more cash than the network was willing to dish out.
Being greedy will get your show canceled in a hot minute.

Everyone knows this show was cancelled. Chris even said it himself last year that the show will end around the same time he dropped out of school and got into comedy. We knew the show would be cancelled when the C(oloreds) W(ithheld) moved his show and that other show to Fridays.

Once the show got moved to Friday it was a done deal. It had nothing to do with Tichina or Terry wanting more money. How can you suggest that when it’s obvious Sandra your’e the last to Know the show got canned.

Trust that Cris Rock is making more money with the show being in syndication than he did when it was T.V. every week. Producers make more money in syndication deals. Hopefully Tichina and Terry’s managers worked out syndication deals for them, before they took the roles because you can’t do it after the show is canceled…just ask Gary Coleman.

I can’t see the video but I loved the show. It was one of the few primetime shows I could actually watch with my kids and as everybody else said the show got cancelled because it was a successful black comedy on a white network that didn’t involve sex, drugs, violence and actually showed working class blacks in a positive yet still humorous light. Truth be told, it was better than 90% of the other shows on that network and YT couldn’t handle it hence the move to Fridays

chris dropped out of school? funny. i think the last episode i watched was the halloween episode and the off brand candy or something. the show had it’s moments, but it was never cut out to be on for 100 or more episodes.
some shows really have a life span of 2-3 years at best. there’s a market for it i’m sure.
Maybe he created this video because he has a movie coming out on the 16th?
@ Point you do have a point about the life spans of some shows but with the writers they had they could have taken the show much further. I mean how many white shows revolving around high school with mediocre ratings have been carried through college and beyond? The networks just dont believe that there is a big enough market for black sitcoms anymore especially with the addition of reality shows
