Akbar V shared a personal letter from former President Donald Trump wishing her a happy birthday.
The rapper turned 35 on August 22. She shared a letter she received from Trump on her Instagram page.
Akbar captioned the video post: “On my birthday i received a sweet message from @realdonaldtrump and his team thank you all ….. i always said i want to stand for something … i also want to the a stand and change my community and help kids that has been through same trials of life that i encountered…”
She included the hashtag #stoptraffickingkids.
In his letter, Trump called Akbar V “a great artist”.
“Dear Valerie Raven, Thank you for your support! You are a great artist who I have tremendous respect for. Together, we will Make America Great Again.”
In addition to the letter, Trump’s team sent Akbar V an autographed red cap with “MAGA” on the front.
The “Rehab” rapper turned off her comments because some of her followers hate Trump.

Akbar V made headlines earlier this month when she distanced herself from the Democrat Party on Instagram.

Akbar V wrote: “I’m not a democrat i feel like we was brought up to be a democrat cause we was poor and it kept a lot of us in a stuck mindset for slavery ….”
She followed up her post by writing: “I’m not a democrat… but let’s say if i wanted to be one KamalaHarris haven’t given me any reason to be one nor has Joe …. black folks we gotta do better.”
A majority of Black Americans are Democrats from the womb. Being a Democrat is all they know. So Akbar V’s honest opinion didn’t go over well with her followers.
Akbar V is a former artist on Young Thug’s YSL record label. She was known as “The First Lady of YSL.”
Akbar V appeared in season 8 of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”
