Safaree Samuels shocked his fans by releasing surveillance videos that show his ex-wife Erica Mena abusing him in front of their children.
The 43-year-old music producer shares two minor children with Erica, 36. She is best known as a cast member on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”

In a recent video, Safaree said he refuses to pick up their children from her house because she is abusive to him.
He shared video of Erica using a ladder to climb over his gate at 5 a.m. She is seen knocking on his window and yelling at him through the glass.
Another video shows Erica punching Safaree while their children watch. She then knocks over a plant and a statue. Erica doesn’t seem to care that her children are forced to step over broken glass in their bare feet.
Safaree titled the video: “Storytime: The Truth About Being a Deadbeat | My Truth Revealed.”
He said the early warning signs were there when he first met Erica.
Her oldest son told Safaree that if he had to live with his mother he would kill himself.
Safaree married Erica on October 7, 2019 after dating for a year. Their daughter was born on February 3, 2020. On May 4, 2021, he announced that they were expecting their second child. Later that month, Mena filed for divorce. Their son was born soon afterward.
Safaree and Erica were officially divorced in 2022. He has since dated “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” co-star Amara La Negra. He previously dated his high school sweetheart, Nicki Minaj.
Safaree supports himself financially by appearing in reality TV shows and producing music for emerging artists.
