British actress and singer Cynthia Erivo stopped by “The View” to promote her new movie, “Wicked” in New York City on Thursday. Video shows Cynthia walking briskly toward the paparazzi gathered outside ABC Studios. She smiled and waved at the cameras before proceeding to her Uber VIP.
Cynthia showed no signs of the frail condition that prompted co-star Ariana Grande to wrap her arm around her waist.
Fans expressed concern for the actress when photos showed her skeletal appearance at a promo event in London. Fans fear Cynthia’s extreme weight loss could be a sign of a terminal illness or anorexia.
Photos showed Ariana Grande protectively holding her co-star, presumably to keep her from falling.
Cynthia also visited “The Tonight Show” on Wednesday evening. On the late-night show, the performer showcased her many talents including her incredible whistling skills which she used for a rendition of “Over the Rainbow.”
Cynthia said that she didn’t audition with Ariana Grande and didn’t know the singer was up for the role of Glinda until the casting was confirmed. “We’d never met,” she said. Cynthia was relieved that she didn’t have to work with 2 unnamed actresses she auditioned with.
“It was really easy,” she said of her work relationship with Ariana. “She was lovely.”
