
Meryl Streep dazzled moviegoers as Miranda Priestly, the demanding editor-in-chief of fashion magazine The Runway in the 2006 comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada.
Streep was photographed in character as Miranda while filming in New York City on July 23. She wore a tan coat with a purple blouse and a brown leather skirt.

‘Prada’ was honored by The American Film Institute as one of the year’s top 10 best movies in 2006. The film won a Golden Globe award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Streep won a Golden Globe for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
Streep, 76, also received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

The long-awaited sequel reunites Streep with Anne Hathaway (pictured), Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci from the original movie. According to Variety, the sequel has Miranda facing off against Blunt’s character, who is now a high-powered executive herself.
Blunt’s character controls the coveted advertising dollars that Miranda needs to keep her fashion magazine afloat.
New to the cast are actors Kenneth Branagh (who plays Miranda’s husband), Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux and B.J. Novak.
