Singer D4vd has broken his $20,000 a month lease on a rental home in the Hollywood Hills. DailyMail.com reports that D4vd and his manager broke the lease and fled the house last week.
The FBI searched the home on Sept. 17, collecting a laptop and other items in evidence bags amid the investigation into Celeste Rivas’ death.
D4vd, 20, is not under arrest or charged in the case.
Homeowner Mladen Trifunovic told the Daily Mail that soon after the raid, D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, asked to break the lease. He began moving his and D4vd’s belongings out of the home.
Marshall signed the lease in February 2024 – the same month 13-year-old Celeste Rivas was first reported missing from her family’s home in Lake Elsinore, California.
She briefly returned home but left again with D4vd in May 2024.
The rental home is located near where D4vd’s Tesla was parked for weeks with Celeste’s dismembered and decaying body inside the trunk.
The Tesla was abandoned near Doheny Place and Bluebird Avenue. The city had the car towed on Sept. 8.
Police called to the Hollywood Tow yard found Celeste’s body in the trunk. Her mother, Mercedes, later identified her daughter as D4vd’s “girlfriend”.
Mercedes said Celeste was last seen with D4vd, real name David Burke, when he picked her up in the same Tesla in April 2024.
Celeste turned 14 on Sept. 7, 2024. She would have turned 15 on Sept. 7, 2025.
A candlelight vigil was held for Celeste in Lake Elsinore on Sunday, Sept. 21.
D4vd was obsessed with Hello Kitty, blood and gore, and death.
His bloody shirts merchandise was taken offline. He also canceled the remainder of his North America and Europe tours last week.
On Monday Reddit users noticed unusual activity on D4vd’s Reddit.com community, also known as a “subreddit.”
The “Romantic Homicide” singer is the only moderator of his r/d4vd Reddit community.
Reddit users say he logged in on Monday, Sept. 22, and deleted posts that were negative of him.
Reddit users say D4vd was banned from his own subreddit and it is now restricted. Only approved people can post.
Three new Reddit subs have been created where users can comment about the mysterious case: r/d4vd2, r/CelesteRivasHernandez, and r/d4vdupdates.
In addition, Fortnite users say D4vd was seen playing games online under his Fortnite handle over the weekend.
