The Atlanta Dream is reportedly considering trading for Chicago Sky problem child Angel Reese. Atlanta is one of the destinations if Chicago decides to unload Reese before next season.

She has 2 years left on her contract with the Sky. The contract pays an average annual salary of $81,096.

Bleacher Report’s Lee Escobedo included Atlanta in a list of possible trade destinations after the Sky dropped hints that she will not return next season.

Reese’s teammates turned on her after controversial comments she made to the Chicago Tribune.

In her interview, Reese threw her teammates under the bus.

“I’m not settling for the same s– we did this year,” Reese told the Tribune. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me.”

She also disparaged WNBA veteran Courtney Vandersloot, saying the 36-year-old is too old to make an impact next season.

Reese has since apologized to her teammates, but the damage was already done.

Coach Tyler Marsh suspended Reese for half a game, but she sat out the remaining games with a “nagging back injury.”

She also refused to hold an exit interview for reporters at the end of the season.

Many WNBA fans agree there has never been a more selfish player than Angel Reese in WNBA history

Bleacher Report‘s Escobedo thinks the Seattle Storm would be a good fit for Reese if the Sky dumps her on the open market.

“Reese, heading into her third season, would give them a rising star to carry the torch,” he wrote. “A realistic package would likely feature Seattle’s 2026 first-round pick paired with Dominique Malonga, the 19-year-old rookie center from France.”

A better option for Reese is to join her compadre and former teammate, Chennedy Carter, down in Mexico.

Carter was banished from the WNBA after her brutal hit on 2024 Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark last season.
