A report published Monday morning announced all transgender women will be banned from competition against biological women in the upcoming Olympic Games.
According to reports, all athletes who were born males will be barred from competition against women.
According to The Times, the International Olympic Committee received scientific proof that males hold a physical advantage over women.
The IOC confirmed on Monday that its medical and scientific director Dr. Jane Thornton had provided initial findings of a scientific review.

Dr. Thornton said biological males held an advantage over women even after taking drugs to reduce their testosterone levels.
But an IOC spokesperson said on Monday: “The working group is continuing its discussions on this topic and no decisions have been taken yet. Further information will be provided in due course.”
The IOC’s new policy could be announced early next year, ahead of the Winter Olympics.
In February, President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports.
