The NYPD is actively searching for a suspect believed to have shot NY Jets cornerback Kris Boyd during a dispute in Midtown Manhattan.

The incident happened outside celebrity hotspot Sei Less restaurant and lounge near West 38th Street and Broadway just after 2 a.m. Sunday.

According to police, a man tried to snatch Boyd’s chain and they fought before the man shot him twice in the abdomen.

Police released a video showing the suspect running away after the shooting.

Boyd, 29, is awake and speaking with detectives in ICU at Bellevue Hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition.

Boyd reportedly told detectives that he was with 2 unnamed Jets players when they decided to leave Sei Less because he didn’t like the “vibe” inside.

After shooting Boyd, the suspect fled in a blue-grey BMW X6 or X8 SUV, while another man sped off in a silver Mercedes-Benz Maybach, which retails for $340,000.

Sei Less restaurant owners are not cooperating with police and have refused to turn over surveillance footage.

Detectives obtained security video from a nearby business that shows both luxury vehicles crashing through a barrier as they exited a parking garage. Someone inside one of the vehicles opened fire on the crowd outside Sei Less before fleeing the area.

Police said the sidewalk outside the restaurant was packed and no one was hit.

It isn’t clear if the 2 Jets players remained at the scene.

A good friend who went to college with Boyd in Texas says he’s in “good condition” and “doing fine” after undergoing surgery on Sunday.

Ernest Quander, who met Boyd while attending the University of Texas, said: “He’s a soldier, through tough times. He’s fine. He’s fine.”

NY Jets linebacker Jermaine Johnson prayed for his friend and teammate in an emotional message on X (Twitter).

“Everybody please send prayers to my brother and teammate Kris Boyd and his family!!!” Johnson wrote. “Lord please hold your healing hand over Kris and guide him back to health and safety. Lord I ask that you please just get him through this safely. In your name, Amen.”

“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” the Jets said in a statement on Sunday.

Boyd previously played for the Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans. He is currently listed on injured reserve and did not play in Thursday night’s loss against the New England Patriots.
