Pop star and actress Jennifer Lopez clapped back at social media users saying she should “dress her age” at 56. J-Lo is best known as one of the originators of the BBL look.

The “Selena” star is under fire for wearing skimpy, barely-there outfits during her sets. The mom-of-2 clapped back at her critics during opening night of her new Sin City residency.

“I do laugh at some of the things ’cause they say funny things too,” J-Lo told the crowd during her sold-out show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Tuesday evening.

Jennifer quoted some of her critics:

“Why does she dress that way?”, “Why don’t she dress her age?”, “Why she always nekkid?”

Jennifer added: “I said if you had this booty, you’d be naked too!”

J-Lo’s provocative costumes include lingerie, sheer gowns, corsets and fishnet stockings for her residency concerts.

Fans agreed with J-Lo in the comments on X.

@GleamingTara wrote: “if confidence had abs critics would still be fully clothed and fully mad.”

Jennifer brought out surprise guest Ja Rule to perform with her during opening night.

Ja Rule, 49, joined J-Lo during “Act Two” for a medley of their hits “Ain’t It Funny” and “I’m Real.”

Her “All I Have” (2002) collaborator, LL Cool J, appeared in a video montage.

Only 12 dates have been announced so far for J-Lo’s residency.
