TikTok beauty influencer Golloria went viral over the weekend with her negative review of Haus Labs by Lady Gaga’s darkest bronzer shades.
Haus Labs is a vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics brand launched by Lady Gaga and available at Sephora and Ulta Beauty stores.
The problem started when Haus Labs sent Golloria a PR package containing the darkest bronzer shades for her honest review.
However, when Golloria gave the bronzer products a negative review, Lady Gaga panicked and had the video review taken down. The video was reinstated after Golloria appealed. The video was reviewed 1.9 million times on TikTok as of Sunday evening.

In a follow-up video, a disappointed Golloria said she supported Haus Labs by Lady Gaga for years. But she is unhappy with the heavy handed way they treated her when she gave the products a negative review.
“I’ve acknowledged how you guys have pushed this industry forward in terms of inclusion,” she said in the video. “This is my first ever negative review of a Haus Labs product. My team was told that the video needed to come down due to embargo concerns.”
Golloria went on to say that Haus Labs never informed her that the PR package was “under embargo.” Haus Labs even included a handwritten note in the PR package that read: “Golloria, EXCITED for you to try bronzing veil early. Can’t wait to hear what you think!”
Golloria noted that the product had already leaked publicly days earlier by another big beauty account on Instagram. And that review is still online.
“If the concern was truly visibility, the product was already visible,” she said. “So, naturally the question becomes well what was different? The difference is the conversation surrounding the product… If this was a good review, like all of my Haus Labs reviews usually are, there would have been no issue with me keeping this video up the first time.”
Golloria said her mission is not about protecting brands. “The product was already public. Yet somehow my darkest shade review became the issue,” she said. “Everyone loves the darkest shade in marketing. Everyone loves the darkest shade in the diversity report. But when the darkest shade becomes the reviewer, that’s the real test!”
She continued: “What has always fascinated me about this industry is people say they want honesty. But I think often what they really want is affirmation. Honesty leaves room for the possibility that something fell short. Honesty leaves room for the people most impacted to disagree.”
Golloria added: “Throughout history marginalized people have often been welcomed inside institutions when they help tell the story. But they always face resistance when they start helping edit the story. Brands that position themselves as the leaders of inclusion should be able to withstand honest feedback, especially from the communities that they claim to care about… If an inclusive product cannot stand up to negative reviews, that’s not inclusivity that’s called branding!”
